CHOC PROTEIN TRUFFLES
This recipe has been created to cater for those wishing to reduce their calorie intake when eating protein snacks. A lot of them are made wholly on nuts and seeds making them higher in calories than this version (don't get me wrong, nuts have really great vitamins and minerals however we are trying to reduce calories and fat for the purpose of this recipe)
I have made rolled oats the main ingredient as it's super filling, low GI, low fat and has a good protein count. Dust them in cacao for an extra boost of goodness.
High speed blenders like the Breville Boss or Vitamix are preferred ways to blend up the ingredients but many of my clients use the Bullet and Ninja too. Even with the high powered blenders always chop up the ingredients like dates to help blend evenly.
